Pallet Planter

Hello!

On my way to plantify my space some more with a pallet planter I made for my growing family of succulents.

Lucky me, that the not so friendly couple that moved across the street from us about a year ago and has not once said “Hello” to us, though we’ve waved and such, threw out a bunch of used pallets, leaving them by the curb for the trash truck.

Well, my neighbors may be unfriendly but that doesn’t hinder me from taking their discards and turning them into something beautiful.

I’ve been dying to try my hand at a pallet DIY and I took these throw away pallets as the big man in charge’s way of saying, “Pay no mind to unfriendly people. Here’s a gift from me. I’m friendly!” Yes, He is, so I took them before the trash truck came for them.

First I searched Pinterest and let me say that there are a whole ton of ideas to repurpose a pallet. I should have taken more than just 2 from the “Friendlies.” And I would have, but the death stares they give in our direction are already intense, so why push it?

Anyway, I found a great tutorial here for a pallet planter and it was super easy to make.

Here are some pictures of my crafty process. Hope you like them. Oh, and please pay no never mind to the big split in the sidewalk in one of the pics. We live in Los Angeles and the earth is always shifting a bit and causing a break or two in the concrete. But, we’ve grown used to it, alot like how, little by little, we’re growing accustomed to Mr.and Mrs. Friendly  across the street.

Enjoy!

x-o,

Mona
