Perfect for the young and old who likes a little whimsy to carry with them everyday.
Mini Crochet Donut Keychain
Materials:
Yarn in brown or tan for donut cake.
Yarn in pink for icing.
Embroidery thread for rainbow sprinkles.
Embroidery Needle
Tapestry needle
Key chain finding
Crochet hook, size “2.25”
Crochet It!
With brown yarn or color you are using for the cake, Ch.8 and join to form circle.
ch 1, * sc in first ch, 2 sc in next ch * sl st in last stitch to join .
ch 1, sc in each sc around, sl st in first sc to join. Fasten off.
Join icing color.
Turn donut inside out. Ch 1, sl st in front loop around, join to first st with a sl st.
Ch 1, turn donut inside out, again.
In front loops, * sc in first st, 2sctog, sc * repeat around.
Sl st in first st to join. Leaving a long tail, fasten off.
With tapestry needle, sew icing through to bottom of donut cake, matching up the stitches between cake and icing.
Tie tightly and fasten off. Tuck in any stray strands.
With embroidery needle, stitch sprinkles to top of icing.
Attach key chain finding to top of donut and you are done.
