Hello! I hope everyone had a fabulous and restful weekend. Mine was super duper, in large part to my new found fav activity, planning with my Happy Planner by Me and My Big Ideas. Seriously, I am not being paid in any shape or form to say that this planner is changing my life. This here is my unbiased, true opinion. To show my new found planner love and appreciation I decided to make some Holiday Planner Clip cuties to dress it up, a bit.
Before I get to the Quick Craft Tutorial for the Holiday Planner Clips, I want to share with you on fence about planning on paper that pre- Happy Planner, I, too, couldn’t understand all those “Planner Girls” on Instagram and Pinterest, whether they used MAMBI’s Happy Planner or another planner variety, showering so much love on their planners in the form of cute paper clips, washi tape, and other little doo-dads.
I thought, snobbily so, “I plan on my iPad with the newest, coolest, and trend-setting organizing app. Clearly, my savvy tech-know how means my plans are somehow better than the pen and paper, sticker and tape set.” How dumb of me and how very wrong of me. Big time! Writing it all done on paper, keeps those daily to-do’s and reminders of mine right in front of me without fear that they will get lost somehow in the tech minutiae of opening apps and abruptly closing apps.
Now, being the owner of my very own Happy Planner , and seeing its benefits, I extend my apologies to all those “Planner Girls” for not understanding you. I totally get you dolls, and I’m there with you, enthusiastically flying my Planner Girl Flag!
There is something about organizing your week in a planner with stickers, washi tape, and clips that is no only happy making but strangely enough, peace inducing. Now, I know if you haven’t tried the planner thing, you might, right about now, be shaking your head at me in pity, sympathy or disgust. All I have to say is, try it and see if it doesn’t bring you a new perspective.
Okay, let’s get back to today’s quick craft make and it is quick! You don’t even need glue! Hope you try it and make a couple of your own to adorn your planner.

Make It!
First select the MAMBI Holiday Chips you want as your clips. I made mine from the Holiday Sayings Chips and also the Holiday Chip Tags.
Cut out the chip from the package and leave the plastic backing on. Using your chip as a guide, place chip on some scrapbook paper and cut out a duplicate form.
Remove plastic backing off the chip and place paper clip in place ( see picture for position). The MAMBI chips are stickers and as such have adhesive already in place. So no need to fiddle with glue. However, if you are partial to glue, then, by all means you can always add some extra glue. It’s up to you.
Next, carefully place cut out scrapbook paper over exposed paper clip side and press together to stick.
This is how it looked when I turned it around. Cute, but I thought it needed a bit more sparkle.
So, I added a gold and glittery tassel to the top.
Loved how this Happy Holidays Planner Clip came out, so I made a slew.
Enjoy!
x-o,
Mona
